If you’re interested in setting up a themed working group under the umbrella of the State Violence Research Network, please get in contact with us by sending an email to stateviolenceresearchnetwork[at]gmail[dot]com
These groups, each an autonomous part of the Network and run through consensus decision-making, are responsible for fostering discussion, sharing relevant research, events, news, and activism, planning small and collaborative events, and contributing panels to the annual State Violence Research Network conference, held in April of each year.
We are currently working to identify and apply for funding sources to grow the SVRN. Once this funding is secure, it is our intention to grow the network through its working groups. As such, when funding becomes available, we will be distributing the funds to those who want to facilitate working groups. In the meantime, if you have access to institutional funding and wish to set up a working group, on either the themes below or any other, please get in touch. We are happy to offer whatever support we can, whether that be in supporting your funding application, helping to develop a theme, and discussing the relationship between the network and the working groups.
